I'm a Super-Star! I'm Famous! I'm..

Ok, so I'm totally not famous... but I CAN be a super-star! Why? Because this morning Momma found out that I am in a published book!  That's right! She went to check the mail and found a package from Ms. Paris of DogTipper, Momma didn't remember signing up for any contests recently, because we've just been so busy, so she was really surprised to find that package. She opened it up and this was what was inside..

This is the book! 

"Wow!" Momma thought. "What a cool prize!" Then she opened up the book and found a Christmas Card. It is a really pretty one, with DogTipper's Tiki & Iria on the front. Here... I'll show you!

Isn't that the prettiest Christmas Card? Well, then Momma thought "Wow.. must be a Christmas present" and started to feel sad because she wasn't expecting it, and hadn't even gotten around to sending out our Christmas cards, let alone any presents!  But, then she opened the card up, and read what was inside! 

"Dear Heather, Many Thanks for your contribution to our new cookbook! Happy Holidays to you all! Paris"

OMD! Momma couldn't believe what she read! She quickly flipped through the book.. and there I was!! I was on page 123!! 

There I am!! And that is the recipe we shared! 

Momma had forgotten all about sharing our favorite recipe with DogTipper! And now, there it was! In a Real Published Book! 

That is so right.. we do love our treats!

Momma was so excited that she first texted Daddy, since he was at work, cause she wanted to tell everyone she knew, and he was (of course) first on the list! BOL! Then she started snapping all kinds of pictures to share with all of our family and friends! 

I'm licking my lips, because I know that we are going to be trying ALL of the recipes that are in the book! 

This was so exciting to find out! We hope that you buy a copy.. not just because I'm in it (although that is a GREAT reason BOL!) , but because there are a lot of great recipes from other DogTipper fans and they all look amazing!

Christmas Parade!

I got to be in the Christmas parade!!! The Bark Park had a spot, and invited all the regulars to attend. It was so fun! I was a reindeer  and had a little sidecar that had a stuffed pup with a Santa hat BOL!

Loved the sweater on this pup.. but it was like, 80* outside.. They just don't make cute Christmas outfits that are for warm weather.

First EVER Barktoberfest in Tupelo!!!

Oh My Dog! Not only do we have a new dog park.. they hosted the very first ever Barktoberfest! Right here in Tupelo! I was so excited to go!  So, Momma, My older human brother RW and I went out to the Bark Park and had a lot of fun. There were a lot of tents set up with all kinds of cool information and even some really yummy smelling things. And other dogs! There were a lot of really friendly pups there!

Some explaining to do...

First, you'll probably see a lot more of Magneto then of Colossus and I. It's not because he's more loved or anything.. it's because he actually does GREAT around other people and dogs.. and well, Colossus and I don't. 

The reason Colossus isn't getting along with others is because we've recently discovered he has what is called "Black Skin Disease." Sounds yucky.. and it is.. but thankfully it is not contagious. It is genetic. So, along with him having the funky fur, he is now loosing the fur and has rough dark skin around his tail. :(  He's on special meds and shampoo... and has to wear a cone of shame.. 

I make looking like a satellite dish look good right?? :-) 

Even though it isn't contagious.. it doesn't look all that great either. And we don't want people freaking out thinking that their dogs may get sick. :-( It was a hard decision to make, but until he starts to get some of his fur back, it was one that needed to be done. He IS getting a ton more loves on though.. too much if you ask me. Always cuddling (when he doesn't have the "Goop" on that is) and getting yummy treats. Momma says they have medicine in them, but they smell like liver to me! No fair I tell ya! 

As for myself.. well, I've just been grouchy. Not sure why. I do great at home. But sometimes I whine too much when there are other dogs at the dog park.. a really deep, loud whine. It scares people. Momma knows it isn't really scary.. but it SOUNDS scary. I just really want to play, but make weird loud noises. Momma is planning to work more with me.. in the near future. But until I can learn to behave (again) she says she just can't risk taking me to VERY public places. :( I know.. I'm sad too. 

So, with all the new Dog Events coming up, because of the brand new dog park, Magneto is the one who gets to go. Hopefully soon you'll see more "Public" posts that include myself AND Colossus. :)

K9Kamp Is Back!!!!!

That's right! Kol's Notes & Peggy's Pet Place are putting on the second annual K9Kamp.. and it starts this week!!! We (The Momma and myself, Tiki,) are soooo excited for this! We did this last year. Although I don't have much weight to lose, Momma says she could spare a pound or two.. or hundred.. :-/ I do it, because it means even MORE times with Momma and it's fun!

Our Dog Sled Team!

So, this is what we wish we were doing right now. Hooked up to a sled, running running running! Going as fast as we can, over the white, cold snow. Those are are three human brothers on the sled. BOL!  They'd be laughing and we'd be panting with happiness.


Is this what we are doing?


Nope


It's 80* outside where we live. No snow at all, we didn't even have snow this winter! So, we are all huddled around the air conditioner vents, letting the fans blow on us as we sprawl out on the floor panting. Not from the excited run through the snow.. no.. panting from boredom and heat.

We need to pack up the humans and move us all up to the north pole.

Oh.. My.. Dawg! A whole month??

We've been missing in action for almost a whole month! **covers face with paws** I'm so embarrassed! It's just been so hectic here at our house. First, Momma's laptop died. pfft.. gone. Then it took awhile to get the new computer up and running and finding all of our sites and such. THEN Momma and Daddy came home with a little ball of fur! We have a new brofur! :D His name is Magneto!
